Does drama compress well, or does serious subject matter need room to breathe?
Curious whether the under-100-minute constraint works differently for drama than for other types. Comedy can land a premise fast, but dark or docudrama material often relies on accumulation. Wondering if the films that qualify here succeed by stripping structure down or by finding a subject that was always compact by nature.
