Does Nagoya-style miso katsu fit a five-ingredient rule, or does the hatcho miso sauce alone break it?

Miso katsu keeps coming to mind when I think about this list. The core is straightforward, pork cutlet, breadcrumbs, egg, flour, and then the sauce. But the sauce is where the counting gets complicated. Hatcho miso on its own might count as one ingredient, but a traditional preparation often adds mirin, sake, sugar, and dashi. Does the sauce count as one component or several? Curious how people are drawing that line.
